What are Red Copper Pans?
Red Copper Pans are made of copper and non-stick ceramic.
The high-quality copper is used to provide durability so that these pans can be used for extended periods of time.
Also, Red Copper Pans are made of materials that don’t contain harmful chemicals and toxins, so they are completely safe for children and adults as well.
The weight of the non-stick copper pan is imperative because if the pan is too thick, it will make preparing the meal much harder, especially for women.
Red Copper Pans are lightweight even though they are made of copper. In these pans, you can bake, whip eggs, or even flambé desserts.
Red Copper Pan maintenance is quite easy; after cooking, just wipe them clean with a paper towel. They can be washed in the dishwasher without problems.
Are Red Copper Pans Safe?
One of the most common questions that you may have – “Is the Red Copper Pan safe?” arises nearly instantly these days.
When you understand the build process and materials used, you know that ceramic surface doesn’t contain any toxins, nor its usage on high temperatures releases any toxic materials into the air.
The multi-layered Red Copper skillet provides a non-toxic environment and the ceramic finish is enhanced to ensure a non-sticking surface.
Using this copper in the making of this product provides sturdiness, even heat distribution, and durability.
There were some reports that its surface produces gray marks on the food and the coating chips away. This is the case with products from disingenuous manufacturers and sellers. You can expect hazardous after-effects on the food you prepare in these pans and nothing like this in the genuine Red Copper Pan.
Does Red Copper Pan Work?
The surface of this pan is made to have high resistance to scratches, and excellent heat absorption.
The manufacturer claims that no food can stick to this pan while preparing, thanks to the innovative surface and the materials used.
Compared to similar products on the market, this pan stays scratch-free, and every possible food just slides on it.
This pan is tested on national television in prime time, showing that you can bake, fry, and cook without anything sticking to the pan.
Check out the video where Mrs. Cathy Mitchell demonstrates this pan’s extraordinary features:
I know what you’re thinking right now; infomercials are all directed, and they are made to make you buy the product. That’s what I was thinking too until I’ve dug a bit throughout the internet. It turns out that many YouTubers have tested the pan’s features and everybody praises it; it’s all like advertised, and it delivers.
Just search for “Red Copper Pan Review” on YouTube, and you’ll get dozens of results where people are documenting the performance of the pan. Incredible, but true.

How To Use Red Copper Pan
Frying with the Red Copper Pan
For frying, you will need only one tablespoon of oil because adding too much oil will make your food greasy.
Using the Red Copper frying pan prevents food to stick to its surface you will lower the usage of oil and also change your eating habits – you will eat healthier food. If you are interested in a healthy diet, start using olive oil, peanut, or canola oil instead of sunflower oil.

When added the oil to the pan wait to heat up. It will heat up within a few minutes. If you are not sure when the oil is heated up use some of these tricks:
- Put a drop of water into the oil (be careful not to burn yourself!). If the oil is hot enough, the water will sizzle.
- Use a cooking thermometer. Put the metal part in the oil for 5 seconds, and it will show you the exact heat.
- Put a handle of a wooden spoon in it. When bubbles rise, the oil is ready for frying.
If you are frying meat or cheese, make sure that slices do not touch each other (leave space between them). Also, don’t put food in layers because it won’t fry properly and you will end up with both, burned and raw food.
Flip the meat after 3-6 minutes using fork or tongs. Remember, the fork can damage the meat, and it can lose its juices.
To be sure that your meat is fried enough, use a thermometer in the thickest part of the meat. If you don’t have a thermometer, cut open the meat.
By its color, you will know if it’s fried or not: if it’s white – it is done; if it’s red – needs more frying.
Use a spatula or tongs for removing the meat from the pan and serve it on the plate.
Flambéing with the Red Copper Pan
One of the most exotic techniques for food preparation, flambéing can produce exquisite results in a very colorful way; the huge fire burns the ingredients and the pan with extreme temperatures for a short amount of time.
This produces amazing crispiness and splendid taste but leaves you with a big mess if not performed right and with proper cookware.
Red Copper Pan is an ideal cookware piece for flambéing because its surface is tested for excessive temperatures and very sticky ingredients (even plastic cups), and the end results were fantastic.
Although flambéing seems complicated and even dangerous, there is a good reason why we do it.
If you just add the alcohol in the food without flambéing, the food will absorb a high amount of it and will only have alcohol flavor. Also, the food will lose its consistency.
But when you flambé food, it leaves the taste of alcohol you used, but it doesn’t leave an extra liquid.
- The dish must be warm enough. Otherwise, it won’t light.
- Choose the liquors that are complementary to the dish: use cognac and whiskey for meat and flavored brandies for desserts.
- Start the flambéing the minute you add the alcohol. Otherwise, the food will absorb too much alcohol.
- To impress the guests, perform flambéing in a dark room (but also make sure you have enough light to see what are you doing).
Here’s the video of Flambéing that will make it easier for you:
Washing the Red Copper Pan
If you have a washing machine, cleaning the Red Copper Pan is no problem for you. But if you don’t own one and you didn’t wash the pan immediately after cooking, removing residue can be hard.
Here is a trick how can you do it without much trouble:
You will need water, a non-abrasive nylon scrubber, baking soda, and dish soap.
- Mix water and baking soda to make a paste. The baking soda acts as an abrasive but at the same time saves the non-stick surface from damage.
- Once you made a paste, spread it on the residue.
- Scrub the surface with a non-abrasive scrubber.
- Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
Other useful tips:
- If you can’t wash a pan right after using it, to avoid residue from drying, fill it with hot water.
- Avoid using cooking sprays because they can leave a residue that sometimes can’t be removed.

When we talk about nonstick cookware (particularly nonstick pans), Gotham Steel Pan and Copper Chef Pan come as frequent counterparts of the Red Copper Pan.
These two are pretty much similar in looks, but the structure and materials used are different.
The Gotham Steel Pan is advertised by Chef Daniel Green, and the Red Copper Pan is advertised by #1 best-selling author Cathy Mitchell. Culinary Expert & Acclaimed Chef Eric Theiss advertises the Copper Chef Pan.
- The Gotham Steel Pan is made of ceramic and titanium, which has a different consistency, temperature absorption, and distribution. The reason behind this is simple: copper is better in heat distribution and absorption, which prepares your food better and more evenly.
- Next, the Gotham Steel Pan’s surface can’t really compare the performance of the Red Copper Pan’s surface; there have been a lot of reviews that claim that Gotham Steel Pan doesn’t perform as advertised, while everybody praises the Red Copper Pan. The reason behind this lies in the chemical reaction and bonding of molecules of titanium; it simply doesn’t “blend” well. This results in inconsistent heat distribution and absorption.
Here you can read my full review of the Gotham Steel Pan
- Copper Chef Pan comes with enhanced sides & Cerami-Tech patents in ceramic surface enhancements. The patented feature provides denser, thicker walls of the pan which means it can withstand higher temperatures. The Copper Chef Pan can withstand up to whopping 800 degrees of temperature without being damaged.
- The non-stick surface is somewhat similar to both Red Copper Pan and Gotham Steel Pan, with retaining the nonstick ability for a decent period of time – shorter than Red Copper Pan and longer than Gotham Steel Pan.

Most Recommended Red Copper Pans: Detailed Reviews 2022
Let’s take a look at the reviews of the five leading Red Copper Pans of our choice that you can get today.
Red Copper Square Pan 5 Piece Set, 10-Inch Pan
Bulbhead’s set is the all-around solution for the kitchen. It is made of high-quality red copper and provides superb usability with a spacey square shape.
The pan itself is 19.4 inches long, 10.5 wide, and 6 inches deep.
At 4,8 pounds, it’s quite heavy to maneuver with, but all that room for making big and complex meals has to be considered.
In the packaging you will get the vented glass, the steaming and roasting tray, frying basket, and the recipe guide from Mrs. Cathy Mitchell; with this multi-piece set, your cooking capabilities and kitchen efficiency will grow.
The pan is oven-safe, and provides a plethora of possibilities: from baking bread, roasting meat, cooking pasta, to deep frying, everything goes silky smooth.
The ceramic surface really works as advertised on TV; there won’t be any sticking to the pan, no matter which type of meal you’re making.
The video on the TV ad showcased a plastic cup being roasted to the ground in the pan without sticking.
The handle is made from high-quality steel, and it’s assembled to hold the pan with a solid grip. On the other hand, it does get heated pretty much when used in the oven.
The pan can be somewhat heavy, especially when you load it up with a lot of ingredients. There have been some online reports of the pan not performing as advertised with scratches appearing right from the start of the usage. Unfortunately, these shoppers were probably misguided by disingenuous sellers, getting the faulty product or a copy.
I investigated a bit, and saw people being really angry when receiving the weak copy of the Bulbhead’s Red Copper Pan.
To make sure you have the real product, check for Bulbhead marking at the bottom of the pan, and big “Red Copper” markings on the place where the handle meets the baking surface.
Pros
- A non-stick surface that performs as advertised
- Scratch-resistant
- Multi-purpose set to cover all your cooking
- Really easy cleaning
Cons
- Heavy
- Faulty replicas on the market
Red Copper Square Dance Non-Stick Ceramic Cookware
In the following holiday season, this pan can be the perfect gift for everyone who likes to cook and appreciate quality cookware.
Made of top-quality materials combined with new technologies, Red Copper Square Dance Non-Stick Ceramic Cookware will quickly become an essential part of your cooking routine.
Your meals will be healthy and fat-free because of non-stick technology. This technology allows you to prepare food without using extra oil, grease, or butter and to be still sure that the food won’t stick to the pan.
As a measure of precision, take extra care when preparing tacky food because it can burn easily at very high temperatures. On the other hand, if this happens, this model is easy-clean, so you won’t have any trouble removing burned food or any other residues.
Made of pure copper with a ceramic surface this pan is PTFE and PFOA free, so it is perfectly safe for you and your family.
Although it is made of excellent materials, the pan needs to be maintained with extra care. To avoid residue from drying, after using the pan fill it with hot water and soap.
Also, don’t use the wire to remove the residues because you can damage the non-stick surface. If you are not sure how to wash it, don’t hesitate to put it in the dishwasher because the pan is dishwasher safe.
This Red Copper Pan is a square-shaped pan, so the cooking surface is bigger than with usual round-shaped models. Being 9.5 x 9.3 x 1.7 inches and 3/4 inch depth it has enough space for preparing meals for two persons. This pan is multi-functional so you can bake, fry, or even flambé food and desserts in it.
Although I was very satisfied with Red Copper Square Dance Pan, I find its weight to be a problem. The pan is 1.7 pounds heavy without the food in it. When you cook, it becomes even heavier. Despite the fact that this pan is heavier than other pan models, its performance is outstanding.
Pros
- Non-stick
- Easy-clean
- Scratch-resistant
- Multi-functional
- Made of non-toxic materials
- Dishwasher safe
Cons
- Heavy
- Comes without the lid
- Looks larger than it really is

The pan has a special design that will allow you to fry veggies or other foods to perfection and then drain the excess grease for crispy and delicious results easily.
This CopperChef pan is also oven safe and can withstand temperatures of up to 850 degrees. This is ideal for minimizing the number of pans and pots you use when preparing or searing a meal on the stovetop and then finishing it up by baking it in the oven.
Because the fewer the pans and pots, the less the cleaning up afterward.
You can also safely use it over an open fire, on a grill, or on stovetops on gas, electric, ceramic, or with electric induction.
The handle of the pan is long and comfortable to hold, but beware that being metal, it can get hot, so always use a kitchen mitt when handling it during use.
Thanks to the special ceramic non-stick coating, this pan will not oxidize or get tarnished over time like traditional copper pans.
The added glass lid will allow you to retain the heat in the pan, and also to eliminate the splashing and messes during use. It is also perfect for keeping an eye on the food without losing the heat.
The glass used for the lid is thermal shock resistant to up to 500 degrees, so there is no danger of it shattering during use.

Red Copper Ceramic Non-Stick 10in Cookware Pan
This Red Copper ceramic pan from Telebrands is the perfect mixture of all the positive traits of red copper and ceramics but without any of the drawbacks.
Both stylish and ergonomically made, this pan will look superbly inside of any kitchen.
Safe and healthy, it is a fact possible to cook without ever having to use butter, grease, or a similar unhealthy basis. The pan is advertised as completely non-stick, but you should still be careful with extra sticky food (e.g. cheese) and perhaps avoid the highest temperature.
Furthermore, every pan labeled as a non-stick pan needs a bit of TLC any time you use it so be careful when you wash it as well.
The ceramic part is actually responsible for easy cleaning so you don’t have to scrape and force the food off the pan. However, if the food bits are not coming off easily, consider soaking the pan in hot water and soap.
Whatever you do, have patience and do not wire clean it, as you will damage the ceramic coating and you’ll have a very sticky pan.
The pan is scratch-resistant and even more important, safe to place in a dishwasher. There are no harmful synthetic chemicals (including PFOA or PTFE) that have recently been associated with Red Copper Pans.
All in all, this pan is a multi-functional must-have suitable for any kind of food preparation.
It is large enough to make a complete family lunch being 2 x 10 x 17.3 inches, but be careful as it does weigh 1.5 pounds and if add the weight of the wood it might seem a bit too heavy.
To be fair, I did find a couple of drawbacks, such as the inability to work with induction cooking but that is the problem with all ceramic-copper pans.
Because the bottom is ridged, the pan sits a bit funny on elevated stoves, forcing you to stand over it the entire time.
I would say that if you handle the pan carefully and according to instructions you should have yourself a long-lasting quality pan for years to come.
Pros
- Non-stick
- Scratch-resistant
- Easy cleaning
- Dishwasher safe
- No synthetic chemicals
Cons
- Has to be handled with care
- Heavy

Red Copper Fry Pan Deluxe12 Inch
12-Inch Red Copper Fry Pan Deluxe is perfect for preparing quick meals. It is made of ceramic copper which doesn’t contain acids and polymers, so it’s safe for family use.
Also, this version of the pan has two handles instead of one like we used to. For using this pan, you do not need oil or butter, and it is very easy to clean after cooking because of its non-stick coating.
With Red Copper Fry Pan the lid is not included, but seasoning instructions are included. Only in case, you have a spare lid, this model will be a good choice for you.
The two handles really come in handy, especially when you use it for the more complex meals that require both bakings in the oven and frying on the stove.
The ceramic surface of the pan delivers the nonstick feature the way it is advertised; no matter which type of food or food processing you use you won’t need to worry about food sticking to the pan. That’s something that many don’t believe at the first use, but it turns out this pan delivers.
Furthermore, the ceramic coating is PFOA and PFTE free, which makes it non-toxic for both food and air. There are no chemicals released in the air while using the Red Copper Fry Pan Deluxe.
Although the pan can be washed in the dishwasher, it has been noted that it lasts longer if it’s washed in warm water with mild dish soap and dried with a towel. This is definitely a fact that contributes against the manufacturer’s claims.
Red Copper Fry Pan Deluxe was good for oven use because it is up to 500 degrees safe, but it was not suitable for ceramic and flat stovetop use. Also, it has been reported that although it has a non-stick coating, the food sometimes sticks, and the coating comes off easily.
Pros
- Ideal for frying any type of food
- Exceptional non-stick surface
- Two handles make it perfect for the oven
- Tough, durable
Cons
- Not suitable for ceramic top stoves
- Coating comes off
- Reported as not performing as in TV ads as much
Conclusion
After doing some serious research along with actual testing of the different pans, I must say that I prefer the 10-inch pan by Copper Chef the most.
It not only looks great but is sturdily built, with a completely safe ceramic coating.
With its unique 3-ply structure and built-in induction plate, you can cook evenly, and use the pan over the heat source for long without it getting damaged.
This versatile pan can be used on just about any stovetop and on a grill or open fire. You can use it to roast the meat which you have seared by placing it safely in the oven.
This excellent pan comes with a useful and thermal shock-resistant glass lid, which can also withstand a temperature of up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you are careful with the non-stick coating, this pan will surely last for a long. Plus, it is dishwasher safe, which was one of my first priorities when reviewing these utensils.
So, if you are looking for a top-quality copper pan, I strongly recommend this one!
